The firm

Founded in the District Courts of Dera Ghazi Khan in 2021, now practising from Fane Road, Lahore, before the Lahore High Court, the tribunals and the special courts.

The story·01

The firm began in 2021 in the District Courts of Dera Ghazi Khan, the year both founding partners enrolled as advocates, and took on the matters that fill a district bar's day: land and inheritance, family cases, recovery suits and bail. It is work that rewards preparation and plain speaking, and it is where the firm learned both.

District-court clients rarely arrive with a file in order. They arrive with a notice, a fard, a nikahnama or an FIR, and a great deal of worry. The first job is to read what they have, tell them honestly where they stand, and take the weight of the case off their shoulders.

The story·02

In 2023 both founding partners were enrolled as Advocates of the High Court and the practice moved to Lahore, to chambers on Fane Road within walking distance of the Lahore High Court. The move widened the forums the firm appears before: the High Court's constitutional and appellate jurisdiction, the revenue hierarchy up to the Board of Revenue, the FBR and customs appellate forums, and the special courts.

Matters from Dera Ghazi Khan and south Punjab remain part of the work. Clients from the district still call, and the firm still travels to the courts where their cases are heard.

The story·03

Fortis Legal Partners is a small practice by choice: three advocates, each of whom takes responsibility for the files they accept. The advocate you meet in the first consultation drafts your pleadings, appears at your hearings and sends you the update afterwards.

Fees are discussed at the first consultation and confirmed in writing before anything is filed. After every hearing you receive a message telling you what happened and what the next date is. You should never have to chase your own case.

The story·04

Most clients are individuals and families: owners and heirs in property disputes, spouses and parents in family matters, people named in an FIR, government employees facing an inquiry. The firm also advises traders, importers and owner-managed companies on tax, customs and corporate matters.

The practice is national in reach. Clients are seen at the office in Lahore or over WhatsApp, in English, Urdu, Punjabi or Saraiki.

What we hold to

Four principles decide how every file is handled.

  • 01

    A straight answer first

If your case is weak, you will hear it in the first meeting, not after two years of hearings.

  • 02

    Prepared before we appear

Adjournments cost you time and money. We come to court having read the file, not intending to.

  • 03

    One advocate throughout

Your matter is not passed down a chain. The person who takes it is the person who argues it.

  • 04

    Discretion

Family and criminal matters carry consequences well beyond the courtroom. Nothing about your case leaves the office.
