This policy explains what information Fortis Legal Partners receives when you use this website or contact the firm, and what we do with it. The website has no forms and no accounts, so it collects very little.
What this website collects
The website does not ask for your name, number or any other details, and it has no contact form. When you press a WhatsApp, phone or email link, the message is written and sent from your own app; the website does not see or store it.
Your browser keeps one small preference on your device: whether you chose the light or the dark theme. It never leaves your device.
Analytics
If the firm enables Google Analytics, it records anonymised information about how the site is used, such as which pages are visited and roughly from which city, so that we can improve it. IP addresses are anonymised. You can block analytics through your browser's privacy settings or an extension.
Information you send us
When you message, call or email the firm, we receive what you choose to share. We use it only to reply to you, to decide whether we can act for you and, if we are engaged, to conduct your matter.
Everything you tell an advocate is treated as confidential, whether or not you go on to engage the firm. Please do not send case documents in a first message; we will tell you what is needed and how to share it.
Other services
WhatsApp, your phone company and your email provider handle your messages under their own privacy policies. The map on the contact page is provided by Google Maps and loads only on that page.
How long we keep information, and your rights
Correspondence about a matter is kept for as long as the matter lasts and for a reasonable period afterwards, as professional practice requires. Enquiries that do not become matters are not kept longer than needed.
You may ask what information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it where the law allows.
