About
Umair Ahmad Qaisrani co-founded Fortis Legal Partners in 2021 in the District Courts of Dera Ghazi Khan and moved the practice to Lahore after his enrolment as an Advocate of the High Court in 2023. He appears before the District Courts, the Lahore High Court, the revenue courts, the FBR appellate forums and the customs tribunals.
His practice is built on civil and property litigation, family matters, revenue and land records, taxation before the FBR, and customs adjudication. He serves as an Executive Member of the District Bar Association, Dera Ghazi Khan, and holds an LL.B (Hons) and an MA in History.
He speaks English, Urdu, Punjabi and Saraiki with clients, and was a guest speaker on the development of food law at Ghazi University, Dera Ghazi Khan, in March 2025.
I started in the district courts, where clients have no in-house counsel to explain things to them. That taught me the job is half advocacy and half translation, and that people relax the moment they actually understand what is happening to them.
